The qualification round will be available from 1 April 2025 to 14 September 2025.
However, to streamline the process of participating in the CSC 2025 qualification round, the following dates have been pre-selected as preferred dates for institutions to participate:
- 30 June – 9 July 2025
- 21 July – 30 July 2025
- 1 August – 10 August 2025
- 21 August – 30 August 2025
- 1 September – 10 September 2025
Mentors from their respective institutions are encouraged to contact the CSC Lead Organiser – Heloise Meyer (heloise@sanren.ac.za) to arrange for the introductory presentation and confirmation of participation dates.
Interested student teams are advised to contact the mentor at their respective university to confirm participation and select dates. If teams are unsure of who their mentor is, the team is advised to contact the CSC Lead Organiser.
An open CSC 2025 introductory session (virtual) is planned for the 4th of July 2025 at 11:00. Details for the session will be shared on the SANReN CSC Discord Server closer to the date.
This session will be open to all students and lecturers from eligible institutions who are interested to learn more about the CSC. The session is aimed at lecturers who are new or unfamiliar with the CSC, as well as students who are interested in participating in the CSC but have not yet an assigned mentor at their respective institution.
Please note that this session will not replace dedicated sessions organised with existing mentors at respective institutions (which is still preferred).
